4 Apocalypse Avenue, Wednesday morning

Sep 23, 2009 10:01

A very lovely time was had by all, last night. Fortunately Sophie didn't have to be in at the gallery until well after noon. So there'd been sleeping in.

And now, very slow waking up, not alone, although. Something seemed to be. Slightly... off?

Geoffrey was out like a light, happily in fact, but even he noticed a difference. There was a little frowny face before he just settled against her again.

Sophie closed her eyes, not even close to awake, and curled closer to the warm person next to her. "Morning."

And her eyes flew open. That was not Geoffrey's voice. And... Oh. Damn.

...it was really Geoffrey's luck that the first time he'd had sex with anyone for several years, something like this happened. Somehow, though it didn't make much noise, her eyes flying open woke him up and had him staring--

"Well."

What exactly do you say in this situation, after all?

"Well this is just perfect," Sophie bitched, sitting up and looking down at herself, the flexing her fingers. "And here I was hoping for a nice, lazy morning re-match, but no." She put her hands on her hips in disgust, then glared at Geoffrey. "I hate this island sometimes. Today especially."

He leaned back and put his weight on one elbow.

"I didn't do it," he said, spreading one hand.

He didn't look particularly perturbed, but he wasn't happy that she wasn't happy.

Which got her to laugh, at least, and then laugh some more as she got out of the bed, looking down at herself. Well. At least she wasn't appalling. "I know you didn't, Geoffrey. You were rather busy last night. And Steve showed up at my apartment, the morning all of you turned into women. I'm guessing this is just the reverse."

She padded naked over to the mirror, then smiled, pleased. "Not bad. Really, that's not terrible at all. For being male."

He leaned back on the bed and looked his share as well.

"You make as handsome a gentleman as you are a lady."

"Flatterer." And didn't that flirtatious note sound odd, coming out of that mouth? Sophie frowned, studying herself, tilting her head this way and that. "Although, I don't know. Would you buy a used car from this man?" She raised an eyebrow at herself, then had to laugh again. She met Geoffrey's eyes in the mirror. "You're handling this well."

He shrugged.

"I'm in the theatre. You really think this hasn't happened to me before?"

Waking up with a man. Even waking up with a man after falling asleep with a woman.

Sophie laughed again, intrigued, then folded her arms. "I'm assuming there's a story there?" Hmm. Clothes. Now, where had she put that suit that she bought after Steve showed up on her doorstep...?

"Not really," he said as he finally pulled himself out of bed, looking around for his clothing.

"College. Different theatres. I wasn't always a mad hermit."

Sophie took a moment to appreciate the view, and said, "Is Darren in any of these stories?" Mostly just out of curiosity.

Ha. Clothing! Yes!

He looked up from where he was grabbing his pants.

"Like I said, he wasn't always insufferable."

Which called for the testing of a theory, now that pants were on and a shirt as well, even if it wasn't buttoned yet.

Sophie leaned over, giving Geoffrey time to pull away if he was so inclined, and aimed a kiss for his jawline.

He leaned into it, just as he'd leaned into her kisses last night.

"Ahh, yes, one of those things I don't usually find myself mentioning," he said with a smile as he turned to look at her. Was she comfortable enough in that body for him to kiss her?

Sophie was Sophie, Y-chromosome or not. He'd better kiss her.
