What's a Nubian?

2 and 1/2 months later, I finally watch Chasing Amy for the first time. That flick hit a little more than I expected it too. It had a lot of heart, but most of it was broken. In any case, yes, it is a must see ( Read more... )

Ah Good! you didn't totally abandon the LJ.

I did think"Chasing Amy" was a really good flick, but yeah that one man...I'm not sure if I can do it again.

Yeah, I've been having time management issues of late, but it's important to clear for things that are top of the priorities list.

Man, your Illinois trip sounds like you were revisiting the site where Battlefield Earth was being filmed.

Ooooo. Scout parts! cool.

I've got to get my house in order too. too many projects.

1) Not yet ;)

2) Yeah, I really enjoyed it, but it hit really hard.

3) You know its funny, I was telling a friend of mine today that I have always had these "life goals" that I've planned on doing and am convinced that I am going to do. Then I realized that I haven't actually done much to achieve them and that I am closer to 30 than not. Kinda crazy.

4) Sorry, it totally wasn't that way, I'm just being overly dramatic I 'pose.

1. Aw, come on now.

2. Yeah, I know the feel. just like when I watched "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles".

3. When I hit 30, I decided to go forth with my project. I say if you have a list, prioritize which one is most important or if you're about the numbers, stack the ones you can clear off easy. Hell post them on a LJ post and make it official. that way people (like myself) will ask for updates or you can post updates, like I do with my paintings.

4. Did you get the: when are you having kids? speech. That's the one my sister got, while I got the: when are you going to get married which brought my responses that I posted.

2) *pinch*

3) Good idea ....

4) Most know me well enough not to ask, but if a stranger asks, I do the "we've only been married for 18 months, we've plenty of time ahead", and I am slowly trying to build my repetoire of smart-ass remarks should the "kids?" question come up frequently. As in "EW! Why would I want kids? They are a sexually transmitted disease!!!". Of course, I need to be somewhat careful since many of my girlfriends are having kids at this point in time, so I don't want them to think I'm judging them. But if they break out the "It's your turn" crap, I won't be held responsible for my words.

2. Hey, I could've easily made a naughty joke and went for wildly obscure.

3. It's good since it gives you accountability to an audience. The updates help mark your progress. Personally, I think I'm running into my dead zone.

4. Aren't you from the south and supposed to have 2 kids by the time you're 21 ;) kidding. hope you had a great weekend.

2. Well hmmm ... lets see which one of those categories I most usually fall into ... naughty or obscure? ;)

4. Okay, the pinch just turned into a pinch that'll leave a bruise ;) Oh and you forgot barefoot. 2 kids and barefoot.

2. Well the naughty was in reference to hitting you hard....it could've been "with an riding crop", but I went for the obscure "TMNT" ref. trying to keep it clean.

4. You forgot it b/c you were working on a batch of moonshine right? Well us people in L.A. are too busy stuck in traffic, shooting at one another, all hopped up on reefers, getting our houses wrecked in earthquakes, and marrying gay people to be concerned about having kids..ah the subtle regional urban myths, good times. ;)

2) Keep it clean? *arches an eyebrow* Suuuuure.

4) Yup, gotta make the moonshine so I can keep my Pa happy, who is also the father of the child. Good ol' "myths". *shudders*

2. "I'm trying Ringo, I'm trying real hard to be the sheppard". --Sam Jackson as Jules Winfield in Pulp Fiction.

3. That sounds like a great idea and we should have a script ready for next summer starring Jessica Simpson and her real dad Joe Simpson now I'm going off to do some Peruvian Marching Ants. Actually pushing this terrible movie sounds better than what I'm dealing with here at the office.
