Lazy Sunday

I took the new addition out for a brief test run this afternoon -- just around the block, just far enough for me to get a feel for being on a bike again. I was a little wobbly starting out, but I adjusted a lot faster than I thought I would. My new bike is comfortable in all possible ways -- physically, certainly, but it also handles just like Bucephalus I back when he still worked properly. I like a bike that resists me a little more than Bucephalus II did -- OK, that was a super-efficient bike, and I went zooming over hills that had been almost impassable obstacles before, but I like that I have to work a little harder with the cheaper bikes. It makes me feel that much more in control, which is a feeling I need right now.
