Alive, alive-o!

Hi, everyone!

So! It's been ... months. Sorry! It's been a busy semester, and I got into the habit of going about my life without making time for LJ. The plan is to get back into the swing of posting regularly again. Also, if anything big has happened that I've missed in your journal, please give me a heads-up. I'm hoping to catch up with people's entries, but I've missed kind of a lot.

What's been happening with me? Well, kind of a lot, and kind of nothing. You know how it is. (After changes upon changes we are more or less the same, mm mm mmmmm ...) (Ha! earwormed you.)

The quick version:
-its' MIDTERM SEASON here, and OMG I feel like the term just started
-my leg's healing, slowly but surely; the wound is pretty much gone, and so I'm left with a gigantic, angry-looking scar and a lumpy, deformed calf
-I've got good classes (Old Irish, Old Norse, independent study with Prof. Gillies, Social Anthropology, linguistics class on Heritage Languages), but so much work I feel like I'm drowning all the time
-going to LA next weekend for the annual California Celtic Conference
-got to write the paper for said conference (oops!)
-got more reading to do than can ever possibly be done
-I'm supposed to be thinking about my generals, in addition to everything else

If there's anything you want to hear more about, I will be happy to tell you. Christmas was good, January was good, I've been making time for knitting and baking (I made monkey bread!!) and going to movies and watching silly things on Netflix with Matthieu, I've been having various existential crises (whattamIgonnadowithmyselfAHHHH), and overall things are pretty much normal.

But the real question is -- how are you?

not dead yet
