Looking for kidfic with flood

It was with Vin, JD and Ezra as kids. there had been a flood in the town. Ezra and the boys had take refuge on a tall slide. (I think.) Ezra was staying with Vin and JD because Maude had a warrant for her arrest in the US. Maude would put money into an account for Ezra, and Ezra used that to buy clothes for himself. He had a crying spell because the nicer clothes for boys were all messed up due to the flood.
