Okay, this is WAAAY back. Carla wrote Legacy of Fire (OW)where Erza is separated from the others when they go after rustlers. The rustlers escape from the six and run into, over and about Ezra. He is injured by a runaway horse knocking him down in the melee. Captured, he witnesses one of the rustlers dying during a fight when the man falls into the campfire and burns to death. Eventually Ezra escapes and is reunited (in a gun battle) with the others at Nettie's ranch. The story ends shortly thereafter but leaves loose ends. I could swear there was also a sequel but I'm not sure if Carla wrote the sequel or someone else did. Ezra has nightmares about fire (that actually relate to an incident in his youth...) at the end of the story. Help? Find Legacy of fire? Find the sequel (which might be by a second author? Maybe Kelly Adams or Nottasha?)? MAC
