i could be mixing two stories up here, but i seem to remember a story where Ezra was a professional killer from New Orleans Vin may have been his partner that bit i am not sure about. I am sure it was set in the old west.
The other is a crossover with Highlander. Ezra is mortal but Maude is an immortal trying to protect him. He is kidnapped and tortured to draw her out. One of the McClouds help Team 7 find him.
