It's kind of a cross with Van Helsing. Where a descendant of Carl shows up and reveals that Vin isn't a Tanner but a Helsing. His mother was trying to protect Vin and was basically telling him to remember the lie, and Vin forget. Ezra overhears the conversation and freaks thinking they some type of purists who would burn Ezra and those contaminated by monsters.
