7 as equals
I don't know how to explain what i'm searching for very well, but here it goes:
I want histories where Chris isn't the Alpha male, the King of everything, God, the parent, etc, etc... I understand that in OW he is the "boss", in ATF the same, and in any AU based in a job somebody has to be the boss. But being the boss is one thing, and the leader that the rest obey always another. Chris doesn't have any business giving orders out of the job and expecting that the rest follow those orders without pause, and in histories where the seven are reunited for a cause, not a job, he is always the one giving orders. A pair of examples:
In Four Kingdoms, the seven are of different countries, of different ranks, with a mission in common, and Chris is giving orders to Ezra as if he was his superior. At first Ezra reminds him that Chris is not his leader and that he is free to come and go as he pleases, but once that d*** "don't run out on me again" is said, it changes. And that attacks my nerves something awful
Now, I know that the rest of the seven follow Chris of their own free will, but they are adults accustomed to making their own decisions, especially Ezra and Vin, that have been alone the mayor part of their life. I can't see them following anybody's orders concerning themselves. If somebody doesn't want to stay in the clinic to recuperate, is their own business, they have been taking care of themselves before and is insulting to think that don't know better. Nathan can insist because he is a healer and that is how he is, but the rest? That is treating the patient like a child. Or a history where Chris doesn't let Ezra and Vin to read a pair of books of Verne. Or prohibiting Ezra to play poker in X because of Y
I want histories where Chris can be the leader of sorts, but the rest make their own decisions and live like they want to live, like in Tale of a Deed where the only authority Chris has is what the others give him, and once out of Four Corners he isn't the one making decisions.
