Vin/Ezra AU pre-slash teen/young adult fic w/supernatural powers
This was a series posted on a website that I had bookmarked two computers ago. The old computer died, link lost. :( So any help in finding it would be very, very much appreciated.
The fic was pre-slash for Vin/Ezra and slash for Chris/Buck. Vin and Ezra had met as children and Ezra had been very little and called Vin "puppy" as Vin was currently in a wolf cub-form (werewolf of some type?). Vin saved Ezra as a child, but it is implied that Ezra is/was in fact Adam Larabee as Ezra's eyes change colors and the only one whose eyes ever changed colors around Vin was Chris and now Ezra! Ezra and Chris have some sort of supernatural powers (I believe they are both able to start fires at will/under stress). Vin and Ezra meet up again at a gas station, Ezra's headed away (anywhere), presumably from the terror that is Maude. Vin recognizes Ezra, calls him something (like "kid!") and Ezra says, "Puppy!" Then Ezra is convinced by Vin to go back to his home with him so Ezra does, feeling he can trust Vin. They get attacked by a vampire on the way, Vin runs vamp over with the truck he's driving, vamp keeps coming, Ezra's eyes glow and vamp becomes fired by sudden fire. They proceed home, Vin surprised by Ezra's power that he's only seen one other person have - Chris.
Buck and Chris are in a relationship. The rest of the team are vampire hunters of a sort, some with powers and some with none - Vin is the youngest member of the team, until Ezra joins the picture. Josiah has a shop of some sort in town. Mostly they stay out at a house (Chris's?). JD rides a motorcycle and I believe has no supernatural powers of his own. Buck saw the similiaries between Ezra and Adam first, Chris doesn't want to believe it because he's assumed all these years that Adam was dead along with Sarah (though the carseat was empty). Sarah and Adam had both supposedly drowned after their car was thrown into a body of water (a river??) and Buck insists Ezra could be Adam because Adam's body was never found. Chris says something about having been told that Adam's little body had probably floated away. Chris looks at old pictures. Chris begins to think that Ezra is Adam, but doesn't want to hope too much and be disappointed. I remember Ezra getting hurt somehow and Nathan taking a sample of the blood so that he could do a DNA test to see if Ezra really was Adam Larabee.... the series was unfinished, though I've always held out the hope that it would be finished even though updates on the site had become nearly nonexistent. Maybe it's out there somewhere finished and I haven't read the ending!
Yes, I've read this story repeatedly. :P But I really want to be able to bookmark that site again in the hopes that it will be finished someday. Thanks to anyone that can help point me in the right direction!!
