Hi Everyone! I got hom earlier than expected so the posts are going up earlier rather than later. Yay!
We have more stories to choose from this year, so I hope all of our artists can grab something they like! :)
Information for Artists:
Art can take whatever form you like, so long as your writer is able to display it along with their fic. In the past this has included photos of artwork and crafts, as well as scanned pictures and computer-aided design.
If you are creating a fanmix: Mixes must be between twelve and twenty songs long. Covers are optional, but appreciated. A track list must be included. You can zip this up with your mix, but you must also include this as either a .txt file or in the body of your email when you send it in to the mods. Mixes must be uploaded to either mediafire or megaupload, as other hosting sites tend to expire links.
When a story is selected, I will strike out that story, meaning it is no longer available.
THERE WAS A SLIGHT ERROR ON MY END AND A STORY GOT SENT TO THE SPAM FOLDER. WE HAVE SIX STORIES, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO CHECK THE STORY SUMMARIES AGAIN!!!
Story #1
Pairing(s): Chris/Ezra
Rating: Adult
Warnings: There are references to past rape/non-con, prostitution and addiction.
Summary: Tough circuit judge Orrin Travis has reluctantly engaged seven outlaws to help him keep peace in the wild desert town his family used to call home. Somehow they have to stay alive and out of jail long enough to prove they deserve an amnesty on their "Wanted" status. It's far from a done deal. Especially not with the baggage they all bring, the past lives they've led, and the desire for vengeance of the people still pursuing them.
At the center of the group are Chris Larabee, Buck Wilmington and Vin Tanner, childhood friends who grew up in a military garrison - all guarding dangerous or disturbing secrets. Their new friend Dr. Nathan Jackson is used to fighting for acceptance and aims to use his medical training to help the disadvantaged, while former schoolteacher Josiah Sanchez just wants to banish the demon drink and fear of the madness that runs in his family. Then there's young J.D. Dunne, who thought coming west to find his father woudl be the start of a bright future rather than a passel of trouble, and Nathan's best friend Ezra Standish, fleeing a life of vice that won't seem to leave him alone.
Judge Travis is an uncompromising campaigner for morals and justice in the west, and the seven desperately need to keep his support. Despite a necessary measure of trust, there are some things he just doesn't know. So when the seductive bright lights of Wickestown camp pitch nearby, it proves a catalyst for revelations that could lose them all their shot at a new life.

With the FBI closing in, if they cannot stop him then he might expose the existence of vampires to the modern day mortals, placing all of their race in danger.
Story #4
Pairing(s): None (Gen story)
Rating: T - for bad language
Warnings: None (other than the bad language)
Summary: This story is a riff off of "Drunk History" on Comedy Central. So, it's a different kind of read, as nearly the whole thing is narrated.
In the old west, somewhere up in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains (i.e where Taos is), a small town has recently experienced being besieged and then looted by an insane former war captain and his group of bandits. The bandits were hired by a local rancher to prevent one woman-Matilda "Maddie" Norman-from escaping the town, to stop her from being able to claim a mine left to her by her father in a neighboring township. It's the tail end of winter, so the land is covered in snow and the town is surrounded by high mountains. (In other words, this is not Four Corners).
The Seven were hired by the Judge to get Matilda to the claim, and four of the seven-Chris, Vin, Ezra and Buck-are trapped in the town with her when it's besieged. How they escape is based on a real historical event-during the Anarchy in England, when Empress Matilda and King Stephen were battling for the English crown, Stephen twice had Matilda captured, and she twice escaped in rather creative ways. But, of course, just because Matilda escapes doesn't necessarily mean all her "protectors" got out, and, in this story, when the ruse is discovered, the whole town (along with Ezra and Buck) is made to pay by the insane old army captain (think the Colonel from the pilot, except these aren't real soldiers he has working for him-they're just plain old bandits).
In the fashion of "Drunk History", the whole story is told by someone who is completely and utterly drunk (Billy Rufus, the saloon owner) to his brother (Henry Beau), a couple of days after the whole story plays out. There's a lot of slurred speech, misspoken words, and bad behavior. Billy also can't remember anyone's names, so everyone has a nickname, including our boys-whom he calls Scary, Scruff, Cardsharp and the Jerk. He's very, very drunk, and his poor brother, visiting for market day to get supplies, just tries to keep up and find out why the whole town looks destroyed.
Story #5
Pairings: None
Rating: Gen pg-13
Warnings: small references to past assault
Summary: (Inspired by Barbara Michael's Stitches in Time) When a former acquaintance of Ezra's arrives in Four Corners with a package from Maude- Ezra is delighted by the new blue jacket and vest. It's elegant and subtle and looks damn good on him but once he starts to wear it, Chris and the others notice a change in Standish. He start's acting different towards those around him and not at all like the man they've grown to know. Worse yet, Ezra starts having random accidents that leave him hurt and shaken. As the situation worsens and every one is left wondering what is going on, Josiah raises a theory. What if there's something sinister behind Ezra's strange behavioral changes? Something supernatural? The seven are forced to search for answers quickly as the violence escalates. Could Ezra really be "over shadowed?" And if so...is he really the only one effected? How are they going to save their friend and protect him at the same time?
