Being Busy

Our office has moved. I'm still unpacking. The last load is being picked up tomorrow with useful things like binders and paper cutters that no one thought to bring the first time around. I have a longer commute and I am just worn out.

My computer is faster-they got me out of Vista and into something faster but my printer is not hooked up and all my old archived email is gone. I hope they can find it, it has been lost and found before, but that was with the old system. A lot of people's email addresses, now I have no way of contacting them. I was not able to do LJ for a while and I am glad to be reading of everyone's adventures and projects.

I have not been able to get to my SCA and other living history events as much as I'd like, but I made it to the Titanic Anniversary dinner put on by the GBACG. It was a block from my place and I got there just in time for dinner. I ended up wearing the black and blue stripe evening dress from previous teens events, just needed to let it out a bit (sigh) but it was all hand sewing and took time. It was a very nice dinner, I even splurged on the wine flight, although I am not a big wine person. The Pacific Coast Ragtime Orchestra played and I got to dance twice. Maybe I can get to some smaller local events this year.

I'm hoping to get started on making garb again, and to try something a bit more challenging than the tunics, although I have still not mastered them yet. I think what would make me happiest is being outdoors at an SCA event sitting with a group of ladies and doing some sewing or embroidery. Maybe soon.

work, sca, dance, living history, moving, sewing
