Today has been a very good day so far. I've finally gotten the Splinter cd by the Sneaker Pimps. Some of the songs on the album are truly spectacular. Chris Corner can never let me down. I went to a show today with Becca and met up with Bryan and Ashley there. Expecting a typical local show, I was absolutely blown away. The first bands were alright, better than average but still kind of typical. The last band though, wow. Completely different than anything I've heard before. It had soul, it had a beat, you could groove, it was definitely love-making music. The lead singers voice was amazing, on key and not whiney at all. We met the guitarist before the show and he was some small little guy, Becca and I were expecting the band to be extremely shitty, hah. Our bad!! On the way home I almost killed us at least twice, driving on I4 around Orlando is scary :(. It was very nice to hang out with Becca again. I have missed her. I love hanging out with Corey and Bryan but sometimes i just need some estrogen, ya know? Anyways, I'll end this with some of my favorite sneaker pimps' lyrics from the cd I just got. THANK NICK
