Erm, the other mafia games that I've seen/played allows ghosting for up to 2 days after. I don't see that anywhere here...is there?

It was in the day post; yes, you can ghost tomorrow, and the day after.

I've seen that in two fandom-specific mafias and I'm personally not a big fan. For the innocents, you have no known innocent on day 1 to offer opinions. For the assassins, they lose a kill opportunity.
I know it's done because people are so sensitive about getting killed off right away, but that's the chance everyone takes when they play, isn't it?))
