Everyone's remembering things from other people's bodies, huh--? I guess I get it. First the ball, now this. Who'd have thought that dumbass was right? It IS like a game. Get through some moronic obstacle, and at the end... you get a 'reward'. You don't, and there's a 'punishment'. It's like training an animal to behave ( Read more... )

You might want to be a little more careful about what you say about Heather-san. Do you really want to get on the bad side of someone who has your body?

It's frustrating getting other people's memories. I don't see why they couldn't just give us our own. Maybe they made a mix-up somewhere? It's a pain, anyway.

Yeah, well, she won't do anything to mine if she knows what's good for hers.

It has to do with the brain. It's weird we even remember being ourselves at all, without having our own minds. But sensory recognition and all that is done by the mind; so of course we'd only remember other people's crap while we're in their bodies.

Mmm... it might be better not to have such an antagonistic relationship.

Can you really apply logic to a situation like this? I... er.. think I understood that. So... they can only return memories to our own bodies?

After what SHE'S been saying? You have to be kidding me. Tell that to her.

Yeah. That's right. It's weird, actually... it's like our brains still have all of the Procedural memories gained over time, but none of the Declarative. But our long-term memories are functioning just fine... it's a halfway-roadblock, and that shouldn't be possible. ...Er, shit, I'm just rambling now.

Look, think of it this way. If you put a drink in the fridge, then go visit someone's house, your drink isn't going to be in their fridge just 'cause you put it somewhere similar. All of that long-term crap is built to be recognized by our sensory output, yadda yadda. Just can't work any other way.

Ehehehe.. I .. um... She kind of scares me.

Declarative... fridges? I have absolutely no idea what he is talking about. R-Right! I think I get it now. None of this makes any sense!

Eh? That stupid broad? How come?

--The hell?

Declarative memory, and normal fridges. ...How can someone say they get it, and then say it doesn't make any god damn sense?

She's... she just... she's always teasing. And you have to be on the look out for anyone helping Haruko-san.

Ehehe, right! I was close. But basically, stuff is happening that shouldn't work, right?

Haruko-who? Is that the idiot who convinced baseball-brain to steal all those towels? What a freak. ...What was she teasing you about?

You were nowhere near close... Well-- no.

I mean, yeah, sort of. But anyone knows that. I was talking about--

Che, nevermind. This place is messed up.

Yeah, that would be Haruko. Heather-san talks to her sometimes. She was just teasing about.. stuff. I-It's not important.

I think we can all agree on that, hehe.

Wait, no... ah... what kind of stuff?

Heh. Well at least that makes sense, kinda.

Just stuff.

The one predictable thing is unpredictability. That seems like life here in a nutshell. Actually, life in Namimori too.

Shit, he isn't willing to talk about it? Eh-- what kind of stuff?

Namimori? That's what our place is called?

... She just mentioned you remember a bit about being friends. Which I hope is true. It feels weird being the only one who remembers anything.

Yes, Namimori. It seems like a pretty peaceful place. When Reborn is not around.

Oh, was that all? Why the hell would she tease you about something lame like that? I better remember something soon; it's really irritating not to even know who you are.

Your place, should say. I'm from Italy, right?

Ehehe, I'm not really sure. She didn't say specifically what she remembered so I don't know exactly what she found so funny.

Yup! Italy. You came to Namimori to... actually that part is still hazy. I just know you attacked me for some reason.

If you say so.

I'll figure it out on my own.
