I will cry if nobody knows where that quote is from.
It's a strong possibility that we may have an Eldar player soon. Anthony called me last night to inform me that a co-worker of his (not Kyle, the hopeful Tau player that has yet to actually indicate that he WILL play) that he has talked to previously about the game went out and bought some Eldar Guardians and is watching some eBay auctions. This is actually very good news since we (the group) have been itching to see either an Eldar or Chaos army in action.
As far as my Guard army is concerned, I've hit a bit of a "painter's block." I've really gone to town on my "irregulars" as I call them (non-Guardsman models like Commissars, Priests, Sanctioned Psykers, Ogryns, etc) and done a pretty decent job (if I may say so myself), but I'm not sure how I want to proceed with the main army's paint job. I wanted it to say solid black so that I could call them the "Obsidian Order" but it looks kinda...well, boring, since it's basically a coat of black paint with a few details picked out in other colors. I'm thinking of some other urban combat camo schemes (since that's kinda their whole army theme), but I can't seem to settle on anything.
Perhaps soon I shall post some pictures of these guys. One of the priests is painted up in red robes; I decided to give him a red stripe/tattoo on his head ala Kratos, so I think he's one of the figures with a bit more "personality."
When I went to Comic Book World with my brother today to get some paint, he picked up a box of Ork Kommandos. While he doesn't have the finances to actually get an army to play, it's kinda cool seeing him get more involved in the hobby.
But enough for now...I should be getting to bed.
