ABOUT YOUR SCENE
Ten words to describe you - Shy, Quiet, Geeky, Calm, Weird, Meticulous, Funny, Sarcastic, Accepting, Myself.
Three words to describe your look/style - Simple, functional, yet-- somewhat 'fashion concious' I suppose.
You go to a show on friday night, what are you doing there? - Simply listening to the music. I'm not real big on moshing or dancing really, but, that's just me. If a band were to come on that I'd rather not listen to, I'll either sit it out or just go distract myself with friends or get some fresh air.
What do you consider the biggest threat to our modern musical culture? - Unacceptance of different genres. Personally I think that everything has a place somewhere in music. Whether the music is incredibly mainstream or just part of a niche group... it has a place somewhere. When people begin to classify someone based solely upon what they listen to, or prejudge them based upon that-- I feel that is where a problem begins to occur.
Add something interesting... really - Well... I'm on a bowling team. I guess not many people (in the 'younger' crowd) have that going for them. I have a pretty consistant average of 155. Hah... =)
OPINIONS
Drugs: I'd imagine that one of the first things someone would notice from my name are the last 3 letters of it... but, that's about where it ends. Straight Edge was a personal decision on my part-- it's for me, and no one else. As far as drugs on a whole are concerned, I really have no problem with it. Can they be harmful? Yes. Can they be helpful? Yes. I believe it's all in the context of which they are used... but, even to that-- it's a personal decision.
Fashion: Is just that... fashion. If someone decides to dress a certain way-- that's great for them. Don't base opinions of someone simply because of what they wear... that won't get anyone anywhere. Whatever helps an individual feel comfortable (physically and mentally) is fine by me.
Television: Coming from the generation I've grown up on... television has had a large role on my youth. I personally watch very little television anymore (aside from the Daily Show and Conan O'Brien) but I realize that it used to be a major part of my life. I think with today's society a TV/Computer opinion would fit in here better... I'll admit it though, I'm a slave to the computer-- but, someday that might change, you never know.
Sex: I'm not one to judge whether or not two people 'love' each other, but I feel that sex is something that is a major decision in life. The repercussions of it can drastically effect the life of an individual, so all I can hope is that when considering it, the persons in question ask themselves if they feel what they're doing is something that they are comfortable with... if so-- have at it.
Money: Money can cause greed... and greed keeps the world turning. But, I also feel it's a necessary 'evil' of sorts. Without money, I can't even begin to imagine what our world would be like. A 'you scratch my back, I stratch your back' society is something that just doesn't seem to fit into that which I've known for my entire life.
Guns: Guns were originally designed as a tool, and I feel that's the way they should be used. They can be very dangerous and, being the cautious person I am, I personally can't see myself ever using one for any reason. But, I still believe people should maintain the right to own them... I can only hope they'll use them only for appropriate reasons and keep them safely secured.
High school dropouts: I can't really see anything wrong with it. There's no reason to keep someone somewhere they don't want to be. There are tons of people who drop out of high school and lead very successful lives. Although it helps people get jobs and such-- there are also other positions that don't require a diploma. But, others don't leave simply because they want to, other pressing issues in their life may cause that, in which case I'm even more supportive of allowing the student the ability to do as they please.
PICTURES
I'm not a very photogenic person. It's just not like me to go around taking pictures of myself, I know what I look like-- but, if someone else needs to know, here's 2 that I guess show who I am atleast.

That's me on the right. On the left is Micheal from Coheed and Cambria... they're easily my favorite band, and getting to meet and talk with him at one of their shows was a really enjoyable experience for me. Call is stupid or whatnot... but, hehe... I gotta love my fellow bassist. =)

Here's just the stereotypical "deep thought" or whatever they call those pictures. All I know is that I suck at doing it-- but, I knew one picture wasn't much, so I quick took this one and uploaded it do you guys could atleast see more than one of me.
Thanks for taking the time to read this thing. It's not usually like me to fill one of these out, but the idea of a community that's moreso about simply enjoying what you enjoy struck me as a bit interesting... although it does almost seem like a double-standard to a certain extent. Regardless... thanks for your time, and maybe I'll seeya around sometime. =)
Edit - It looks like the crazy "Rich" mode decided to mess up my image posting. I'll try to fix it... but, if that doesn't work, clicking the links should suffice. Sorry about the hassle.
