Music Game Goodness
Despite being a regular gamer that buys at least a game a month usually and very often more, and generally enjoying rhythm games, i've never gotten around to playing Guitar Hero.
Until this past weekend. We had Sarah's family here for Xmas, so this weekend we went to my Mum's and did the rounds. At my aunt's on saturday night, Sarah and I had a short session with my two soon-to-be-step cousins on Guitar Hero 2 on ps2, and I have to say, I really enjoyed it.
Late to the party, eh?
Sarah, who has actual rhythm, was instantly good. I, who has no rhythm and can't even fake it, struggled to keep up on the two songs I played on easy. Oh well.
Anyway, i've decided I'm going to get a music game, but i'm going to get Rock Band instead of Guitar Hero 3. Rock Band is more expensive, but comes not only with a guitar, but with a microphone and drums too. You can also add a second guitar for bass and voila, you are a Rock Band. The reviews have been great and it will mean Sarah and I can play together, so that's cool.
