Christmas, w00t!
I wouldn't normally say rubbish like w00t, but apparently this year it was Webster's internet word of the year and has a stupidly complicated definition in the dictionary. What nex, eh?
Just over a month since i update, and we've done a bit more in the house since then. I can't remember if myself or Sarah has said, but the bathroom is all finished, and looks excellent. Tiled floor to ceiling, with the floor tiled to, and up the side of the bath. Looks very slick.
The hallway, stairs and landing is done now as well. Milk white ceiling, antique cream on the walls and a barley wheat carpet, keeping it light and simple. Looks nice, and good to be walking on carpet, not bare, cold floor.
Next up is the 3 bedrooms, but we're going to leave them until the new year and have a bit of a break.
In other news, how great is Carrie Underwood's second album? She's my favourite American Idol so far (with Kelly Clarkson second), and i loved the first album. I'm not convinced the new one is as good as that, but there are some great songs.
Looking forward to Christmas. Now we've got the house, we're hosting Christmas for the first time. Sarah's folks are coming, and her brother, not to mention Edward, which is what Sarah has named the turkey we've ordered. Nice fresh organic one, coming from a local farm shop. Should be good, and it's 7kg, so plenty of left overs for sarnies.
I'm going to make some rare special effort over the festive period, and i'm making a Cheesecake (nice New York one, with an Oreo base if i can get some), and i'm going to make some Scones with Sarah's Mum. Getting ready for my future role as house husband!
