It's autumn! *happy dance* I'm replacing my spring/summer wreaths on my door with spiffy autumn-harvest themed ones. I also picked up two sequined jack-o-lanterns on sale at Michael's to put outside (safer than candles).
Of course, it's spring Down Under now! I hope the flowers are blooming and the weather is nice in Australia and New Zealand! *waves*
At my old place, I never had trick-or-treaters; it was a mostly rental complex filled with second-floor condos and I think most parents took their kids to the merchant's trick-or-treat Halloween that the local mall offers.
In my new neighborhood, it's all homeowners and a very nice neighborhood so we get loads and loads of trick-or-treaters. I am going to have to stock up on candy, and I do mean candy that my dad and I will eat, because who doesn't eat at least some of the Halloween candy we buy for the trick-or-treaters, hmm? So I have a reason to decorate for Halloween, and since I absolutely LOVE decorating for holidays, I am going to do so with a vengeance.
