It's a huge loss not only for the dressage world, but for every rider around. He was one everyone could learn from because his great riding was made by great horsemanship. However, his "philosophy" will survive. He lets his daughter back who will teach hier pupils the way he taught them and he lets his "almost-son" Ike Hahn back, a rider who was educated by Thedorescu, lived with him for years and will stay at his stable. Together with Monica he'll proceed what George Theodorescu started. And I do hope that Monica will go to Turin next week for riding at the European mastership. In the last years she never was in for such a great event - Theodorescus were never rich and therefore could never afford expansive horses. They always needed to build up young horses. In this Monica hadn't much luck in the last years. Two wonderful mares she built up became injured as they'd just started to go the great tour. But now she's got Whisper, a young gelding and with him she made it back on top. I know that her father was very, very happy about and he looked forward to go to the European mastership with Monica. Now she'll need to go there on her own - but I hope she does and I hope she'll ride for him.
