I finally splashed out and bought a new digital camera in the post-Christmas sales. It's a
Panasonic Lumix DMS-FS7. It's not the top of the Lumix range, but it's the best I could afford. At least I got it for a lot better price than the one shown in the link. :)
There's nothing wrong with the quality of the pictures I took with my Pentax. It's just that the screen was very small (3.1 x 2.4 cm) compared to 5.4 x 4.1cm for the new one. My eyesight isn't getting any better. The bigger screen makes it a lot easier to see the results of my snaps!
It's been a while since I've posted some garden pictures, so here are some that were taken with my new camera.
A baby praying mantis. Despite its miniscule size, it had no fear whatsoever!
An interesting view of lillium petals.
Purple claw flower.
A feather caught in a bush.
A wasp attracted to nectar.
Dandelion seeds.
Red rose.
Our neighbour's pink frangipani.
These dried kangaroo paw flowers appear to be trying to hold hands!
(I had a problem with this photo - it was in landscape format, but it insisted on uploading in portrait. I even deleted, re-named and re up-loaded to Photobucket to no avail! To get the correct effect, turn your head to the right!)
