Cold
You forget how miserable you feel when you have a cold - until you get one!
It's disgusting! Nose running like a tap, tingling and threatening to sneeze (but most of the time doesn't), causing the eyes to water. And damp tissues (ugh!). Tired because every half hour last night you had to sit up and blow your nose.
Thank goodness for aloe vera-infused tissues. At least my nose, though red, isn't sore and peeling like it usually is. Yet.
I'm at home - it's been around 2 years since I've taken a sick day off work, but I know I wouldn't have managed at work today.
I sometimes think it would be nice to have an occasional day off work. However, when you're sick you don't get a chance to appreciate it! I tried to read my book this morning, but my eyes kept telling me that they preferred to be closed.
Sigh.
