It's still too far away to cause any noticeable difference to the weather (apart from the humidity). So far, we still have blue skies, with the odd cloud.
It's just a waiting game!

WEATHER SITUATION
People are advised that a line of severe thunderstorms are moving rapidly southwards and will affect southern parts of the Central West district in the next one to two hours. Northern parts of the Lower West district may be affected in two to three hours. There is the risk of damaging gusts to 100 kilometres per hour. Wind gusts to 104 kilometres per hour were recorded this morning as the thunderstorms moved over Geraldton.
This area is still some 300km north of us, but steadily moving south.
