Spring Flowers

Yay!  It's spring!  Well, at least it is down here!  While everyone in the Northern Hemisphere is entering autumn and heading towards winter, it's finally warming up here.  It's about time.  We've had an unusually cold winter for Perth and I'm ready to defrost!

My garden has been blooming for a few weeks now.  Here's a selection for your enjoyment...

Linaria

Sweetly-smelling freesias

Daisies

Jasmine

Jonquils

Snapdragons

Viola heartsease

Nasturtium (with bee!)

Geraldton Wax (with another bee)

Snowflakes (we always called them snowdrops, but apparently that's wrong!)

When I snapped this picture, I didn't realise that the mosquito would come out in such fine detail.

As well as the flowers, our vegetable garden is coming along nicely.  We have tomatoes, potatoes, silverbeet, peas and carrots (already featured the other day).  I've even planted a blueberry bush.  I'm really looking forward to the crop (when it gets big enough to produce one, that is!)
