I am not American. I am Australian. I have never cared one way or the other how a U.S. election turned out ever before in my life but today has been awe inspiring.
I am no expert on History or American politics in any way shape or form but what I do know is that Today was A major historical event and I have the shakes.
All four of us (this includes 2 young children) sat in complete and utter silence as Obama spoke. That alone is a historic moment in our house. I told my kids this day will be up there with Man landing on the moon, I don't know why I made that point to them but I did.
I am now wondering why I am posting this but I guess to me it just feels like a once in a life time moment that I am so very glad I had the chance to be alive to see. When I am 90 I can look back when someone asks where were you on November 4th 2008 and I can say I was with my family seeing the world change.
There can never be a second first time for anything and I got to see a first something I am excited.
Sorry if this sounds stupid but I had to record my feelings and this seemed like a good place.
