Yes, I did!

Arrived at poll ~7:15, voted ~8:30. Lots of sweet stories, but for now, just photographic evidence:
in reverse chronological order, 'cause that's how my cell phone rolls )

I want hard copies of these pictures!

The voting machines in Accomac are not registering votes for Obama. The McCain supporters have blanketed our voting site with McCain posters within the no-campaign zone. You practically have to step over the signs to go vote, and the city is doing nothing about it. grrr.

If you've had problems voting... belle_marmotte November 4 2008, 21:15:11 UTC
AGAIN: If you think there's voter fraud or suppression taking place at your polling station:

Obama Hotline: 877 US4 OBAMA (877 874 6226)
Election Protection: 866 OUR VOTE (866-687-8683)
League of Women Voters for Spanish Speakers: 888 VE-Y-VOTA (888-839-8682)

Ganked from ankhorite and reposted here. I think it is terrible if machines aren't registering votes. I wish they'd stick with a paper ballot!!

Call the Obama Hotline:

877 US4 OBAMA
877 874 6226

Or the League of Women Voters:

866 OUR VOTE
866 687 8683

Go ahead, call 'em now.

WHOOPS! Just repeating Belle Marmotte, sorry!

You're using my favorite kind of pen while voting!

I like Micro, too, but I prefer the super-micro-mondo-fine-tip. This was nearly a marker (which was better for voting, though).

It was funny; they gave them to us without caps so people wouldn't steal them. *grin*

Aww. We got these little dinky pencils that felt like they'd snap in half if you looked at them too hard.

Yeah, I prefer the super fine tips as well. I use them for taking notes in class because my handwriting is so small that with other pens I can't read it myself later.

Illinois ConCon ankhorite November 4 2008, 21:58:03 UTC

I had the privilege of knowing Elmer Gertz, from the last Illinois ConCon, who tried to support me in a privacy lawsuit, arguing that the privacy provisions of the (current) Illinois Con were meant to protect a person's choice of party.

Governor Jim Thompson, a rat of a Republican, used to have government workers check the list of people who took partisan ballots in primaries against a list of state workers - and if you took a Democratic ballot, they'd punish you.

I hope he joins George Ryan in prison someday soon.
