When the iPhone/iTouch first came out, I thought they were a bit limited. The browser and iTunes didn't support Bonjour/rendezvous, which is a big appeal for me, that and it didnt seem that I would be able to add my own programs. Well, this weekend I got a wonderful tour of just what an iTouch can do with the developer's kit and I am very pleased. I've been contemplating getting an iBook for a while, but this is cheaper and better suited for what I want.
Now, the the big question is, iPhone or iTouch. iPhone comes with bluetooth and a camera; the bluetooth being the major appeal. iTouch on the otherhand for the same price will give me twice as much storage. One major worry about both products is the Apple iBrick Update, where Apple decides whatever fun stuff I'm doing, say putting skype on the iPhone, is wrong and turns my nifty little computer into a iPaperweight. Now, I'm not looking to hack it to get around AT&T, in fact I'm not looking to use the cell-phone part at all.
So, can anyone who has either of these products tell me their thoughts? Like is the bluetooth on the iPhone limited to only headsets (a la blackberry), and is my iBrick concerns valid?
