Cross-posted from Tumblr! Any references to 'this year' or similar stuff refer to that one.

Blog of the year - Tumblr. This will be my 22nd post on this blog in less than eleven months. Talk about getting yo mojo back.
  • Most used blog of the year - Blogspot. Used it for my workouts. It features far too much swearing and use of the expressions 'feels good man' and 'feels bad man.'

Letdown of the year - My breakup. Wasn't nearly as exciting or tumultuous as hoped. Lacked drama and failed to instill me with deep misogyny as advertised.

Sport of the year - Boxing. I'm just full of surprises.
  • Fight of the year - Marquez TKO9 Katsidis. Wrote about this previously.
  • Event of the year - Pacquiao-Margarito PPV. First time watching with my peers, was good stuff.
  • MMA fight of the year - Henderson-Pettis.

Internship of the year - My summer work. Dat resume addition. Also, allowed me to go to the gym at the end of the day conveniently, and I finally don't feel useless working.

Song of the year - Kansas: Carry On Wayward Son. I've watched the Supernatural finale recaps at least 30 times each.
  • Poetic song of the year - Bob Dylan: The Times They Are A-Changin'.

Game of the year - Freecell. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF WASTED SO MUCH TIME. Literally played and won over a thousand games.
  • Runner up - Brawl. Played exceptionally few video games this year.

TV show of the year - 24. And it's over now. Again: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
  • Comedy of the year - Community. 30 Rock is better, but I saw 36 episodes of Community to 30 Rock's 24ish.
  • Childhood series of the year - Boy Meets World. Amazing series with continued relevance today.
  • New series of the year - The Sopranos. Damn.
  • New ongoing series of the year - Supernatural. Occasionally trashy and more flawed than The Sopranos, but ultimately more enjoyable and a stronger finisher. Its addictiveness and phenomenal ability to do 'callbacks' elevate it above the sum of its parts.
  • Episode of the year - 24 - Day 8: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM.
  • Anime of the year - Planetes. Did not foresee this greatness coming.

Drink of the year - Yuengling Lager.
  • Drink I wished I had had more of - Guinness. Driving sucks.

Movies of the year - The Godfather Part II, The Godfather, Goodfellas, L.A. Confidential. Seen the Godfather movies before, but studying them and rewatching them solidified their position as my favorites. L.A. Confidential and Goodfellas are both phenomenal.
  • 2010 movie of the year - Toy Story 3. Can't remember seeing much else, and it's a great movie.
  • Chick flick of the year - Amelie. Didn't realize it was gonna be a chick flick, but the style of it was great, at least for the first half.
  • Actor of the year - Humphrey Bogart.
  • Most quotable - Team America: World Police.

Skill of the year - Interviewing. I think I got so into it that I started to buy some of the bullshit I spewed.
  • Ethical struggle of the year - Not applying to graduate school. My career-driven social circle has split into two categories, industrial and academic. Having temporarily chosen the industrial path, my conversations with the academic side begin to show just how much of the seeming contradictions I've begun to embrace. Listening to the industrial side converse, I feel completely out of the loop.

Lift of the year - Deadlift. Pulled four plates hell yeah. Also, discovering chalk and how to grip the bar definitely aided in my enjoyment here.
  • Worst lift of the year - Squat. Just lost all motivation to do this halfway through the fall semester.

Restaurant of the year - That Burrito Place. Though they falsely advertise themselves as a 'late night' place when they close at ten on weekdays, I had many a burrito.
  • Late-night restaurant of the year - Apollo.

Habit of the year - Wearing short- and long-sleeved T-shirts in sub-20 degree weather.
  • Showering habit of the year - Taking cold showers and showering twice daily.

Club of the year - Muay Thai. It's nigh impossible for me to go to enough meetings to feel like I did enough, but I was there at the beginning and there near the end, and I made some Facebook friends. So success achieved, right?
  • Aborted club of the year - Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Went to two meetings and just never found it in me to go again. Was a ton of fun, though.

Literary work of the year - Voltaire's Candide. I'm... I'm not illiterate if I can say I read a book this year, right?

Religious moment of the year - Finding the Craigslist listing for my housing. Incredible proximity to campus, cheap price, four months. 'All you need.'
