song in my head
I have had this song in the back of my head for... years. It's always been there, playing quietly in the background. No one ever knows what song I'm talking about so, naturally, I have no idea who sings it or what it's called. I highly doubt it, but maybe someone on my flist can help.
It's a mid 90's-ish song. Female singer, maybe a group? Along the same style as Lisa Loeb and Sixpence None the Richer type music. I only remember two lines.
"Say You'll Stay,
I'm letting you Go."
lyrics searches haven't helped at all. I can sing the two lines, which could help. If you want me to, call me. :-p I was beginning to think I heard it in a dream or something, but one day I was sitting in McDonald's with my family when I heard it playing through their speakers. I lept to my feet and squealed. I then screamed to the entire restaurant that if anyone could tell me who correctly sang the song, I'd buy them a milkshake, but nobody knew. And I couldn't hear what radio station it was to call them either. :( At least I know it's a real song...
