reading... like, actual books and stuff

I used to read all the time and as I got a normal 9-5 job, I stopped reading. A few days ago, I found myself in the mall looking for clothes and I wandered into Borders Bookstore. I ended up walking out with three new books and a recommendation for another one that came out yesterday. I finished one of the books already, it was Dean Koontz The Face. It was really good. DK did a great job of starting the book off as a regular thriller and gently working into a supernatural story with great good vs. evil concepts. Amazingly well written. I also bought Tami Hoag Dust to Dust and another Dean Koontz False Memory. (If you can't tell, I like Dean Koontz. I read Tick Tock a few years ago and it still haunts me)

I've also been having that urge to cook more lately. The Bon Appetit Barbecue Issue came in on Monday and they have a recipe for Brown Sugar and Bourbon Ribs. *drooooooooools* 1) Ribs 2) Brown sugar 3) Bourbon. Yes, please!! I made a low-fat blueberry poundcake for everyone here at work that was to die for last week. It was gone that day. (If anyone wants the recipe, lemme know)

Ooh! The W Magazine with the Brad/Angelina photoshoot came in today. They both look absolutely gorgeous. I haven't read the article yet, but it's only like a page long anyway.

Maybe I should stop updating my LJ and go read my book, huh?

life, books
