3 years ago I married my sweetie....

Three years ago today Amy and I were married. God that was such a great day. The night before it STORMED!!! We were slightly concerned as we had a few out of town guests coming and the weather was just horrible. Thankfully we were having an indoor wedding. I shoot a lot of nature photography, and one thing that tends to hold true is that the day after a huge storm provides great clouds for the following day. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. I remember the moment the pastor told me that it was time for me to enter the sanctuary. I was so nervous, I felt like my knee's were going to give away at any moment. We had a string quartet playing "Pachabel Canon" and then I saw my fiance soon to be wife enter the church. There is no way I could express how I felt when I saw her walk down that isle. She was so beautiful...I wanted to cry. Now three years later we own a house, have two beautiful boys and a coffee pot...life is good. Who would've thought that that chic that I met at Lisa's 21st birthday party would end up my wife? I remember we saw a shooting star together that night. I didn't think to myself that "She'll be my wife one day" but I did think that we had some kind of connection. I love Amy, we've gone through alot. She was there for me when I went blind, she was there for me when I was paralyzed. All of this before I asked for her hand in marrige. I honestly believe any other woman would've left me. How could I blame her...she was only 21-21yrs old at the time. We've really conquered a lot together as a team. That expression, "Misery loves company?" "Misery" was simply her name and I belive that "Company" was simply her lover. Tonight we're going out to Joe's Crab Shack for dinner. Laurie was kind enough to watch the boys for us for a couple of hours. It's been so long since just the two of us have gone out. I'm having flowers delilvered to her today. I can't wait for them to arrive, she'll be so shocked! I'm not worried about her reading this entry and spoiling the surprise quite simply because my phone got cut off yesterday...blah. Hey, what doesn't kill us will make us stronger right? It'll be back on next week once I deposit my check...HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US!
