"A Night to myself...!"
Well got up not too long ago after a wonderful night to myself. Had a wedding yesterday over in Buckhead that was short and sweet. Only 5hrs of work so afterwards I decided to go and get me a beer and just chill. Well, didn't plan on the heavens unleashing it's wrath upon me while I was trying to drive up I-20...bleh. Yeah, the sky just rained down upon me. I couldn't do more than 10-15mph heading home. I have to say that the lightning was beautiful...at one point I saw it spiderweb across the sky. I wanted to take a picture but didnt' have any raingear for my camera so i just had to look.
I finally made it to the gas station. Grabbed my beer and a Full Throttle (my new drink of choice" and made my way to the counter. Wouldn't ya know it..."Crack...Ba-Boom!!!" The power goes out. The clerk looks over to the register once the lights come back on and says, "Yup...we're done." No more transactions....."What!!!!" I guess I gave her "The Look" and she said to me, "Do you have cash and do you remember how much this is?" I gave her my money and she wrote down what i purchased and I was on my way in a street lightless trek back home.
Once i got in I ate some left over chinese and drank mah beer. Watched one of my new favorite shows, "Human Weapon" on the history channel. My mom im'd me and told me to answer my phone and then we chatted for a bit. Finally I went upstairs to play on the Mac for a bit. I was supposed to work on a wedding edit but figured it wouldn't be too wise seing how I was just a bit drunk. So I just surfed I-tunes for a while looking for some new music. While surfing my friend, "Melodie" popped on and we chatted for a bit.
For those who don't know, "Melodie" was participating in the Blogothon last night. That's right, a full 24hrs of blogging to be finished up this morning at 9am. I can't believe she did it. I was hoping to catch her this morning before she finished but i didn't wake-up until 9:15 or so and I'm sure she was well on her way to "Sleepy-Sleepy Land." I want to post a link but the Mac has a different format than my pc so the best I can offer is her name..."Blogamel." Go to my friends list and you'll be able to link up over there. You can still sponsor her for another 2 days even thought the blogathon is over. I told her that I'm onboard for next years and I'll be sporting the Elvis Jumpsuit...LOOKOUT!!!
