Finally getting down to business; haven't done enough today but have done more than I thought I had so that's good I guess. Have spent more than two hours in meetings. Am also nearly finished analysing the code I shoehorned into the simulation to see if it's causing memory leaks and crashes (short answer: probably not).
Last week, I presented a paper to the group here in Leeds. Next week, I have to present the same paper to my international project group. Some of you heard me rant about this. The first line of their press release is, "Billions of tonnes of water droplets vanish from the atmosphere, as if by magic, in events that reveal in detail how the Sun and the stars control our everyday clouds."
Pro-tip: If the word "magic" appears anywhere in the press release on your scientific paper, shoot your publicist.
anyons is being mean and sending me quotes from what I must pray are eight-year-olds debating the relative merits of Edward Cullen and Harry Potter. My toes may never uncurl. The gene pool needs chlorine.
