...that my partner M TOTALLY ROCKS!!!  while i was at azkatraz, she and her parents overhauled our bathroom, replacing the faucets and towel bars with ones i've been wanting for ages.  they also painted the bathroom as well as the guest room, and installed a beautiful new ceiling fan.  :-DDD  just goes to show i should go to HP cons more often.

the funny part was that i totally didn't notice. i walked into the bedroom with M tailing behind, waiting for my reaction. and i just looked around and what did i notice first? the stack of odd looking wooden things on top of the bookshelf. i pointed at them and said, "what are those?" she raised her eyebrow at me and waited for me to catch on. when i didn't, she pointed up at the ceiling fan, which led to my eventual discovery that OMG it was a new ceiling fan!!! and the strange wooden things were extra fan blades. and in my jumping up and down and squeeing, i noticed the new paint in the bathroom. so i rushed in there to exclaim over the paint only to notice the new faucets COMPLETE WITH MATCHING PLUGS. and then as i whirled around, i noticed the matching light-switch plates and towel bars, and i nearly fell on the floor in ecstatic joy. only then did she drag me down the hall to the guest room where i nearly wept at the perfection of a paint job they'd done on the guest room. it was all too much, really. one long orgasmic home-makeover reveal. *happy sigh*
