Spring Break
Not much on this end. I really, really need this break--which will start in about 10 minutes! :D I don't have many plans.
Something I need to do is finish the poster for PROuD week. For those that don't know, the full name is PROuD 2 BU--it stands for Please Respect Our Diversity. I dunno what the 2 stands for, but BU is Butler University. Basically it's just an entire week devoted to promoting tolerance and acceptance of non-straight people, whether they be GLBTQA or something outside of the gender binary. They put me in charge of making the posters to advertise the week, and I decided to do something based on the RENT poster. So far, I've only got the Monday (the bake sale) and Wednesday (the CBA professionals). The bake sale is just general money for the club, but the CBA professionals is bringing in GLBTQ people from the workplace and having them talk about their companies and their relations with our community. Thursday is Denim Day, where you wear denim in support of GLBTQA, and Friday is Rocky Horror Picture Show, and people will need to dress up to get in free or pay $3. Tuesday is a night out on the town. The person taking the pictures is currently unavailable, so I'm going to need to take the pictures myself and do the poster--not a problem, but there won't be any women on it. =\ It'll be alienating an entire part of the community...but it's unavoidable if none of our girls steps up and lets us take pictures of her.
In other news, I'm want to see how handicap-accessible our campus really is. I think that I'll confine myself to a wheelchair for a couple of weeks and see what happens; I know for sure that I won't be able to get into my dorm. I know that the other two dorms are definitely handicap-accessible, but mine isn't. In addition, I wonder if all my my school buildings are accessible, and if the university can make reasonable accommodations. It'll really be something if I can get a group of people to do it...but I think I'll just worry about myself for now.
I'm absolutely bored. There's not much I can do at the moment--it's Friday before spring break. Nobody is on campus, and I have no homework, no club stuff (except PROuD week advertisement...which I can't do until I get more pictures. Which I can't do until I go to Clint's and use his camera. Which I can't do until after Thursday.), and no projects. D:!!!
