Let's see...
Yesterday was quite a shitty day at work. It was just hectic and everything kept going wrong. We were 2 people short and I was the only one checking. Through some fluke of nature, it was busy on THURSDAY MORNING... Go figure. I was the only one checking, and at one point, 6 people were in my line and my register crashed. I had to make them wait while I opened another register. Oh yeah... TONS OF BUYBACKS. There were people bringing in stacks and stacks of books, cds and dvds. Fuckers. :D
But it got all better, because the very last person I checked out was one of the local Katrina survivors and she was buying books and she was just so... jovial. I never expected that from someone who had lost everything but she was just genuinely happy to have her books. She said that she was in the process of reading one of them in New Orleans, but that it had made a journey out to sea and so she was looking very forward to picking back up on it. She was probably the only person that actually wished me a good day AND MEANT IT. Also, on the way out the door ( it was raining its ass off ) she turned to me and said "I just LOVE Arkansas." I almost went into shock.
Last night, I went to Spragins. Lindsay was going to pose me, and did, but we also picked up tons of helpers also. My favorite shot incorporated Brittany, Jessica and Lindsay. They climbed the walls in the Spragins hallway ninja style and made a stack... See, Lindsay was the highest, Jessica was midway up and Britanny was on the ground. I just framed it so that their heads were just above each others. It may not make sense, but I'll show you the photo once I get it developed. After the modeling session, I showed Lindsay a few things about her camera, went to Z to start the movie. ( we had a movie night ) And then went to a yearbook meeting... They actually sent me an e-mail and ASKED me to please take photos this year. That's what I've been waiting on...
Let's see, today I woke up at 6:15 and got started on studying. I've been doing so ever since. I was worried that I wouldn't get my Japanese done because I still had a good bit to do when I left for my 10 o'clock, but it was canceled so... I got it all done and did some extra studying. I'm about to head to my 11 o'clock, pick up a photo for the greensheet during lunch, go to my last class at 1:00 and then go to help and hope, interview volunteers, compile the rest of my service day story info and get to writing. I imagine that may take until dinner and then... I'M FREE. Tonight will be great, this weekend will be better.
XAS IS GOING CAMPING.
