Skinned

Well, my apartment is reaching new levels of suck.

Yesterday, I waited from 2-5 o'clock for someone to show up and fix the internet.  It came back up on its own at about 3:00, but I kept waiting so I could ask some question.  At 5:15 I got sick of waiting and went to take a nap.  When I woke up at 6:45 they'd been here and left a nasty note on the door.  Couldn't even bother to come in the time window specified.

Then at around 9:15 or so it went down again.  So we called again.  They never called back to tell us a time they'd show up.  So this AM we figured they wouldn't be by until Tuesday.  So we went out to lunch, barrowed some wireless at Panera, and then went to the archery range.  Got back about 4:30 to find another card.  WTF.  But then the internet appears to be working again.  We'll see if it goes down again this evening.

Oh yes, I did say archery range.

I mentioned awhile back that Matt got me a bow and some arrows (as well as appropriate safety gear) for Christmas.  So, this weekend we managed to have time to go to the archery range he found.

I...we'll just say that I didn't *completely* humiliate myself.  It's been a *long* time since I shot anything.  Meh.  Did okay.  Only killed one arrow, and Matt helped kill that one.  He just had to try my bitty bow, and managed to embed my arrow in the joint between the wall and the floor.  Splintered a little bit, and then I did the same thing awhile later.  Yeah.

Major "achievements" include figuring out a few things about aim (getting better, need practice) and filleting my left hand on the fletching.  Hoorah cheap fletching.  It'll heal.  Or I'll figure out a way to protect my hand.

I'm feeling "antsy" today. I think it's because there are any number of "out standing" conversations that I need to finish.  OCD is fun.

Going sparring with the JBC boys in a little while.

Church in the AM.

*REALLY* need to go grocery shopping.

No lab on Monday.  Hoorah.

And...I'm boring.

If I'm in K-ville the weather is...

But if I'm in Nebraska it's more like...
