later on this year I'm going to cut my hair. All of it. Gone. It's time, we've had a lot of great times together and there is one more Maiden gig to go to but then out come the clippers. Now I am going to give my hair to a charity that makes wigs for kids going through chemo. This is where it gets odd, one of the people at work is pretty much insisting that I should raise money for getting my hair cut. I find myself disagreeing with every reason she comes up with. I don't have an affinity for the charity in question, but I'd rather give my hair to them than to sell it or pin it to a wall. I have a dislike of the "I'm going to trek the wilds for charity, I need to raise £xxxx, give generously" as sometimes I think it would be better if people simply gave their time to those charities. I also often fail to see how a trek across the wilds is in any way connected to that charity. If I was going to raise money it would be for the RNLI, something which my hair has no connection to what so ever, and which is probably an unfasionable/forgotten thing. This might be me being overly grumpy about things, anyone have any good reasons why I should claim my scalping as a charity event?
