Oh, Toby. My heart goes out to poor Flenderson. On top of the world after winning the Fun Run, only to be crushed by his crush having a new relationship. "Well, let's just see how it goes." *sniff* Poor, poor Toby.
And Ryan? Holy crap, what a douche. And I take it back - I had said last week that NOAH! Bennet's boss at Copy Kingdom was a ramped-up Flexo. I was wrong. Ryan is Flexo. If Flexo grew a beard and became my boss, he'd be Ryan. The character now makes me hate B.J. Novak, and I don't want to do that. But I believe that Novak is Ryan in real life, and he's a ... a douche.
The best part was when Ryan's PowerPoint presentation only had one slide and one bullet. I don't know if that was intentional, or an inside joke that wasn't supposed to be caught, or what, but that was hilarious.
And wow, Pam really is the office mattress! At least, the mattress that everyone wants to sleep on (not necessarily that everyone is sleeping on it). I feel for Toby, but the thing with Ryan just came out of nowhere. I have to agree with Jan (and you know how that makes me crazy), but Ryan is a snake. He coats the wheels of Pam with the grease of a graphic design job, then swoops in for the kill of dinner.
But as Jim says, "I guess he can't get any girl he wants." And Jim's proud smile was perfect.
Finally, I laughed my ass off when Michael drove the car into the lake because his Tom-Tom told him to. Because though there were no lakes on our trip, our Timmy-Tom-Tom screwed us over many a time on Roller Coaster Road Trip Oh Seven (T-T-T: "Take the next right, then take the motorway." Me: "Where's the RIGHT?!"). And if Kerri had seen that, she'd have laughed her ass off because it took place in Scranton, which she hates.
Is it just me, or is this season starting off kind of slow laugh-wise? Because it seems to me that there aren't as many laughs per episode as there were previously. I'm not going to stop watching, but the show feels as if it's going after the heartfelt character emotion stuff rather than the laugh. I don't know how I feel about that...
I'm done being spammy.
