I feel like a newborn, kicking and screaming

Jan: "Why is this so hard? ... That's what she said." (Beat.) "Oh my God... what am I saying?"

THAT MADE MY NIGHT. No, wait, I take that back - that made my YEAR. If you know me in real life, you know that "that's what she said" has been, like, the ONLY thing I've said this month. And for JAN to say "That's what she said" ... AWESOME.

TOBY! And the DUCK! And Toby working the CLAW MACHINE in order to buy the duck for Pam! I like Toby/Pam more and more, but I have a feeling that those two will never get together, which makes me sad.

Another thing that makes me sad is the fact that Roy is an ass. I admire Pam for trying again with Roy and at least attempting to move on from Jim (even if it is three steps back), but Roy still needs to be more understanding. Why is it that Roy seems more human and likeable when he's not dating Pam? Because I did not like Roy all through Seasons 1 and 2, but there were moments in Season 3 when he was really nice and made me like him, but then he does stupid shit like dismantle a bar because Pam kissed Jim...

And I don't like the ending, where Roy vows to kill Jim. I doubt that he'll actually kill Jim, but I can definitely imagine Roy making Jim's life miserable. Poor Jim. Poor Pam.

This will only end badly.

But yeah, getting back to the whole "That's What She Said" thing... I'm serious, that is the ONLY thing I've said for a month. Shift meetings at work have been very interesting, to say the least. Between the YouTube video, The Office, and the combined dirtiness found in both mine and Kerri's mind, it's been a naughty month. I've also discovered the secret to winning at candlepin bowling: when someone gets up to bowl, someone has to say something that could possibly be taken in another way, and then Alaina says from the back, "that's what she said!" Ask Kerri - it totally works.

Had an interesting day at work. My temporary assignment as floor lead is scheduled to end on March 18th, which, don't get me wrong, is AWESOME. It means I can hang out with Marilyn and Candace and Kenny again, and less hanging out with Brad and Uncle Jean, and again, not complaining, even though the bosses are funny. But sometimes you just need an airing of grievances, and I don't care how many times I say that I'm just venting about something, Brad and Jean will try to fix it, even if it's not a huge problem. I appreciate that, but there's nothing like empty bitching to lower the ire levels.

Anyway. Once my temp assignment ends, I'm going to be going back to a sales rep, but with additional responsibilities. If I'm understanding Jean correctly, I'm going to be department trainer, but in more detail, like I'm going to be designing and/or adapting the training agenda, going to line reviews, developing not only new-hire training, but refresher courses for the current reps, overhauling the mentoring process, and anything related to training. Also, I'm going to be in charge of communications, like compiling shift notes, creating/communicating contests (if necessary), and who knows what else.

The one thing I'm NOT going to be doing anymore are GUIDE observations, which, THANK GOD. Because I'm still going to be classified as a "sales rep," it "wouldn't be appropriate" for me to be giving my fellow sales reps observations on their sales reppy behavior.

So, job thing is looking good for now... I'm interested to find out what Peter's future responsibilities are going to be, but I've learned to keep my mouth shut about some things.

That's what she said.

work, that's what she said!, the office
