Oh great -- now Johnny's gotten in on the act.
Me: ... and Brad and I have been playing "Movies Alaina's Never Seen" for a while now.
Johnny: ... Weevil, should I be worried?
Me: What? No, probably not ...
Johnny: Aside from Pulp Fiction and Fargo, what else is there that you haven't seen?
Me: Well, there's The Godfather.
Johnny: WEEVIL!
Me: I know... you should have seen my sister when I told her that I'd never seen Star Wars.
Johnny: WEEVIL! I'm delicate! I had a heart attack, you can't tell me these things!
Me: Well, let me be clear: I am ninety percent sure I've seen all of the first one -- Episode IV, I mean. Just, not in one sitting or in chronological order.
Johnny: I can't believe this.
Me: But to make up for it, I've seen all of the Indiana Jones and Back to the Future trilogies.
Johnny: Oh, yeah, that really makes up for it.
Johnny: Animal House?
Me: [turns away and whistles]
Johnny: You've got to be kidding me.
Me: It's on my list!
Johnny: You know, a few years ago, I rented a few classic comedies and watched them all again, to see if they withstood the test of time. Animal House did. [pause] Blazing Saddles?
Me: PLEASE. I can recite parts of that movie.
Johnny: Thank goodness. Anyway, I didn't think that succeeded.
Me: WHAT?! Blazing Saddles is amazing!
Johnny: Come off it.
Me: YOU come off it!
Johnny: Really?
Me: Baby. please! I am not from Havana.
Customer: First of all, Blazing Saddles is the funniest movie ever.
Me: HA!
Johnny: Dare I ask ... Caddyshack?
Me: [turns away and whistles again]
Johnny: Why do you hate me, Weevil?
And then today ....
Me: Oh, the new Nordica Theatre opens next Friday.
Brad: I heard that. Hey, we can all go to the movies after work someday, That'd be awesome, huh, John?
Me: [Faux] Do you want to go see Breaking Dawn with me, Brad?
Brad: Get me a gun and blow my brains out first.
Me: UM, I want to be clear -- I am doing neither of those things.
Johnny: Well, apparently, there are some movies we need to rent and watch first, right, Weevil?
Me: Yeah, John's been playing the Movies Alaina's Never Seen game for the past two days.
Brad: Oh god, which ones now?
Johnny: Animal House, Ghostbusters, The Godfather, and Caddyshack.
Brad: [to me] You're dead to me.
Me: ... and Brad and I have been playing "Movies Alaina's Never Seen" for a while now.
Johnny: ... Weevil, should I be worried?
Me: What? No, probably not ...
