Today I tested...

Today, I decided to offer a gift to Socrate (and the first who said GWG *gift what gift* might be right... but still it's MY life XD)
Anyway, after checking some advices on internet, I went to a random computer store, harassed a pair of salers and finally bought this totally (not)USELESS thing...

CAUTION: my fishies weren't molested during the making of this post ^^

Okay a new pen tablet...

As you might know I'm the lucky owner of a large intuos 4. But the intuous is far from being easy to take anywhere in a bag and since Socrate is kinda well endowed, I was wondering about something smaller...

Okay first, the OUTSIDE.
A nice matte & ZOMG funky packaging, featuring orange instead of the usual black and purple wacom colors and appealing messages : Bamboo Fun lets you get hands-on with your creative projects, combining the benefits of Multi-Touch with the comfort and precision of Wacom's ergonomically-designed pen. "Yeah... Just do it: have fun with your bamboo stick XD"

Anyway it supposed to have both functions: pentablet and attractive trackpad!

INSIDE the Fun package :

- one Bamboo Fun tablet (not orange XD!!) with extra
- one Bamboo Fun pen
- a fun Quick Start guide with an installation CD (including useless things like driver software, interactive tutorial and user's manual)
- a fun Software DVD (Wacom said it included Adobe® Photoshop® Elements 7.0 Win/6.0 Mac, Corel® Painter™ Essentials 4.0, Nik® Color Efex Pro™ 3.0 WE3 BUT it only included codec and link to download)
- one fun Offer for free photo album from Shutterfly and free online store from Café Press

After 2 minutes the new toy is fully installed! And I'm pleased to notice that the silver color is just perfect for Socrate!

So some technical Stuff from the official wacom website!

First edit for meanne77 who wanted to compare... size *no comment*

So... the test... after the com XD (TBC)

Second edit, aka the first test with the bamboo ^^p
So it's kinda fun (I know i know but it is, really!). So the pen is not as fluid as the intuous and the surface of the tablet is not as smooth. I dunno how to explain it but the tablet offers a certain resistance and it's kinda nice to add more pressure drawing.
