井上真央が国際恋愛に挑む！映画『ダーリンは外国人』のダーリンと相思相愛中？
22日、都内にて映画『ダーリンは外国人』がクランクインし、主人公のさおりを演じる井上真央と、ダーリンであるトニーを演じるジョナサン・シェアが撮影に臨んだ。
二人の初撮影シーンは、さおりのブラックユーモアに、繊細なトニーが本気で青ざめてしまう……という場面。井上もリラックスした表情で好演。ジョナサンとの掛け合いも見事に、原作そのままのほんわかムードで撮影は進んだ。
本作に5年もの歳月をかけ準備してきたプロデューサーの濱名一哉氏は「悲しみや苦しみの多いこの時代に、ポカポカとした温かい作品を届けたかった。クスッと笑いながら、最後は幸せな気持ちでいっぱいになるような……」と語り、この日も灼熱の陽射しの中、汗だくになりながら撮影を見守っていた。脚本は原作コミックのエッセンスをふんだんに取り入れながらも誰もが共感できる感動のストーリーに仕上がっており、幅広い年代の支持を集めることができそうだ。
「彼女だけにしかない魅力の持ち主」と主演に抜擢された井上は、「作品も現場もとっても温かいんです。この空気が終わりまでずっと続くといいな」とニッコリ。相手役のジョナサンを「初めて会って『わぁ！ イケメン！ かっこいい！』と思いました（笑）」と紹介し、一方のジョナサンは「僕に決まったなんて信じられなくて。こんなにかわいい方と僕でいいのかなって……」と苦笑いするなど、すでに相思相愛の様子だ。2010年春、二人の温かな愛が日本中を包み込む。
映画『ダーリンは外国人』は、文化の壁やギャップを乗り越えてゆく国際恋愛・結婚の姿を描く。例え自分の相手が外国人でなくとも共感できるエピソードや、お互いを思いやるがゆえのハプニングやピンチの数々に、笑って泣いてハッピーになれること間違いなし。

Darling wa Gaikokujin live-action film due out next year
Shooting has started on the film Darling wa Gaikokujin (My Darling is a Foreigner) starring Mao Inoue and Jonathan Scherr as the featured couple, Saori and Tony, set for release in spring 2010 from Film Partners [the people who brought you live-action Gegege no Kitaro...].
The film is based on the hit manga series. The first scene involved Tony reacting far too literally to Saori’s sarcastic humor. The two actors reportedly interacted with the same lighthearted sprit as the original.
The producer Kazuya Hamana (head of TV content at TBS) spent five years preparing for this film and plans to try and recreate the feel of the original comics for a story that everyone can relate to.
While the theme is international marriage and the culture barriers, it will no doubt include scenes that everyone can relate to even if their partner isn’t foreign. Expect both happy and sad moments as the couple faces ironic misunderstandings arising from their misguided attempts at being considerate to each other.

Mao Inoue and Jonathan Sherr to star in 'My Darling is a Foreigner
TOKYO -
Actress Mao Inoue, 22, famous as Makino Tsukushi in “Hana yori dango,” and actor Jonathan Sherr, 35, will play husband and wife in the upcoming movie version of the popular comic book series “My Darling is a Foreigner.”
Written and illustrated by Saori Oguri, the comic books tell the tales of her life with Danish-American husband Tony Laszlo, as they encounter and overcome cultural differences and barriers. The series has sold over 2 million copies and snippets have been shown inside JR trains in Tokyo since 2007, providing comic relief for the crowds traveling to work and school and so forth.
Filming has already begun and Inoue commented on the warm atmosphere, saying she wants it to continue right the way through. “I’ve never had a foreign boyfriend, but quite a few of my friends and relatives have,” Inoue said. “So they tell me it’s likely I will have one too! I imagine it would be fun being in an international relationship, and the small things of everyday life would be interesting.”
Inoue also commented on Sherr’s good looks, saying: “When I first met him, I thought ‘Wow! He’s cool!’”
Sherr said he couldn’t believe he was chosen for the part. “I wondered if it was OK for me to star beside such a beautiful woman.”
“My Darling is a Foreigner” will open in cinemas next spring.

Actress Mao Inoue (22) is teaming up with actor Jonathan Sherr (35) for a movie adaptation of the manga series "Darling wa Gaikokujin" ("My Darling is a Foreigner").
The original comics, written by mangaka Saori Oguri (42), depict her experiences throughout her relationship with her husband, American journalist Tony Laszlo (48). The manga began publication in 2002 and has sold more than 2 million copies of its four volumes released so far. The latest one, which covered the birth of their son, was published last year.
Filming is already in progress. The official website has opened, though few details are available. Theatrical release is set for spring 2010.

My Darling is a Foreigner: A Manga about Dating a White Guy
My Darling is a Foreigner (Darling wa Gaikokujin) is a funny manga that came out in 2002 about what it's like to be married to a foreigner in Japan. I know, it sounds like it will be drenched in prejudice, but it is actually a hilarious account of the quirks of Japanese culture and how they are perceived by others, and of co-habitation in general. It's actually an autobiographical comedy based on the lives of author Saori Oguri and her white husband Tony Laszlo, a Hungarian-American journalist. Tony is a mellow but hard-working guy who isn't afraid to complain to the waiter about bad-tasting wine and likes to sneak to the fridge to get chocolate ice cream when Saori's not looking. Saori, the manga artist, is sometimes embarrassed by him and often annoyed at little things, like how he doesn't do dishes right away or how he stacks them in the dish rack the wrong way-but mostly she finds his quirks endearing and his insights on the culture fascinating-fascinating enough that they're the subject of her best-selling manga. Anyway, I gave my aunt a copy of parts 1 and 2 of this manga (there are a total of 3, apparently, written over a span of several years) because the white guy looks like her husband. I'm in Hawaii right now visiting them!

Actually, eventhou he's 35, it's alright with me because he does look like the Hungarian husband of the mangaka [Much better! LOL] and he's really specialized in Comedy. He took the part by Audition and the Newspaper said that they also have chemistry.
and His blog entries is full of Mao-chan. LOL Seriously! [I Hope Jun won't be able to read it. He's busy with the Concert right?] He also mentions that Mao-chan doesn't like much sweets unlike him. [What about Ice cream?] I Think they're already close since Jonathan beats K-san [Mao's manager] in calling her Mao-chan or perhaps Mao's manager is just polite to her employer?
and It amuses me that He just started to have a website when they're already starting shooting the Movie. What could be the meaning of this? That this movie promises a good career for him? I Think it is. It's a popular book afterall. (^_^)

I went straight ahead from work to the bookstore to check the said mag of Television weekly, but the pictures of Maomiya were still the same! (T_T) Do I have to check the Mag every Wednesday up until September 24 to check The Television Weekly? Are they seriously want to tire me out?
