So there I am, sitting in front of the computer, trying to write but looking at Miss Snark's blog instead. I stand up, and the ground lurches slightly, as if floating on top of quicksand. I figure it's because I shot up too quickly, but when I sit back down, it lurches again. I glance up at the chandelier, and it's swaying slightly. I bolt to the other side of the room and go under the doorframe and just watch it swaying.
Moving around the house, I notice the other chandeliers are also swaying. Not violent "omg it's gonna fall!" swaying but "doesn't there need to be wind for that to happen?" type swaying. Considering the terrible tsunami that just occured in south Java, and the aftershocks that followed, some of which could be felt in Jakarta (though I didn't feel anything), I'm wondering if a very little aftershock just occured.
The chandeliers have stopped swaying. Phew.
But I keep glancing up just to make sure.
EDIT: Ah, there actually was one. At least I can strike 'paranoia' and 'malicious poltergeist' off my reasons list.
