More On Federal Budget-Cutting And Economic Stimuli

Idea: Close three-quarters (give or take) of our overseas military bases, and open an equivalent number (or close to it) of bases in the United States--particularly in economically depressed areas, since bases have proven to be an economic stimulus all their own.

Good idea? Bad? Could work, or not possible that it would? Any thoughts?
