Well, so far this summer has been absolutely awesome. My official starting point of the season was my trip to King's Island, with Danielle, Annie, Lydia, Jeremy, Sarah, Kat, Alex Ray, and Jared. It was so fun. First we went on Delirium. That was fucking terrifying, if you ask me. I was so scared when I was, like, facing the ground and staring at it and going down, down, down. I thought I might die.
But anyway, we also went on the log ride thingy and got somewhat soaked. But then, Annie made me and Lydia stand on the bridge in front of the water slide, and we all got soaked. This was about at 6:00 that this happened, and at 11:00 I was still damp. Then we went on Adventure Express, and got stuck in the tunnel for a couple of minutes, though I didn't even realize it. Then we went on The Racer backwards. That was scary, since the ride was really jerky. But I looked looking in front of me and seeing all the hills that I had accomplished. Then we got ice cream and hung out, and talked a bit.
And then came the highlight of my day - Face/Off. I was so scared of that thing, I swear. I was literally shaking the whole time we were in line. But I did it, because everyone else was doing it. When we were at the top of that first hill, I felt so nervous, more nervous than I'd ever felt in my entire life. Then we came down, and I started screaming. That was probably the scariest part of the ride - the anticipation of all the twists and turns and going upside down. But it really wasn't that bad. I actually ended up going on it twice, since it was double ride Friday. It was really fun. And the best part of it was, I felt really proud of myself for actually doing it. I really couldn't believe I actually faced my fears and did it. It was an amazing feeling.
Then I spent the night at Danielle's, along with Annie and Jeremy. We had a good time, although I fell asleep pretty early (compared to the rest of them anyway).
Then, we woke up at around 11 and my mom called a few minutes later, since I had to go to Cleveland then Lakeside. (I'm in Lakeside right now). But anyway, Mom and I drove up to Cleveland first so we could go see Body Worlds, this really cool anatomy exhibit where they actually have preserved bodies that are posed so you can see the internal structures of the human body. It was really fascinating. I'll talk more about it later, because I've gotta go.
Comment, pretty please? :(
Love, Kayla
