A pair of dark grey eyes were all that was visible of the girl in the forest, if one knew where to look. And Geoffrey of Port Lorrington knew how to look for his prey. He had learned from the Prince's best friend, the youngest Sorcerer in a century who also happened to be Geoffrey's older brother Andrew, himself.

Step by step, hardly moving more than once in each minute, Geoffrey made his way towards the wild girl hiding in the brush. Just ten feet more he thought. Close enough that I can flush her out into the open. He tensed, ready to dash out from behind the bit of rock and ferns he had been crouched behind for the last half hour, when suddenly a hand clamped down on his shoulder.

"What in Aeristhea's name do you think you're doing?" asked Andrew, angrily. "These woods are forbidden for a reason, dammit. And where is that Isabella?"

Upon hearing her name, the girl with the grey eyes jumped down from the tree in which she had hidden herself, pleased that her rudimentary charm had actually confused Geoffrey. "I'm here," she announced to the two boys, who turned to look at her. Andrew's eyes narrowed in anger at her appearance. It seemed she had taken off her dress and slippers at some point during her romp through the woods, for she was clothed in a cotton undershirt and a petticoat, both of which were torn and dirty. She was showing far too much pale, creamy skin for a girl who was nearly fifteen: her long limbs, knobby knees and elbows, and awkward slenderness showed off the fact that she had recently grown, though she still barely reached Andrew's shoulder. But, her lack of proper clothing showed off the curves of her young breasts and hips, and her tousled black hair and glinting grey eyes framed by long black lashes suddenly seemed far more mesmerising than Andrew remembered them.

Andrew shook his head angrily. Isabella was too young for him to be thinking such thoughts, but she was too old to be running wild in the woods, as was his younger brother. He glared at them both, and said fiercely, "you've got to stop these jaunts into the King's Forest. It's dangerous, and not allowed. You're not children anymore!" He glared a moment more for emphasis, then quirked his lips in a quick grin. "Anyway, you're to begin your training as swordsmen now, and if you're good enough, perhaps swordmasters."
