Haircuts and other adventures

I had work today for a slightly shorter shift than I've been getting.  It went pretty well with a couple odd things here and there (including the check machine eating someone's check and the second person to sing "If you knew Suzy" to me since I've begun work there).  After work my mother, my brother Dan, and I had adventures: we went to get haircuts (Dan's took about 3 times as long as mine, quite literally), we bought 50 cent books, and we bought 75 cent bags of candy (red, white, and green of course).  This took forever all because of Dan's haircut, but I got some reading done in the midst of it.

I've started in on Dante; it looks like it'll take a bit more time than I had originally anticipated, but as long as I keep on it I *should* be fine to get through at least it and hopefully Hamlet as well.  *sigh*  Here's hoping!!

How's everyone doing in this new year (and break, too)?
