Christmas
I have now discovered that the internet here stops working 2 or 3 times a day. We've found a solution that works quite quickly, but only if one actually has access to the room where the router is.
Anyway, Christmas went wonderfully! We have always run it a certain way - immediate family in the morning, then brunch and less immediate family (and shorter session) afterwards. This year, we did the less immediate family first, then brunch, then several hours (I'll admit it was hard to wait) before immediate family and a late dinner.
A large majority of the gifts I received this year were straight off my Amazon wish list, which is pretty impressive. It's taken a while for certain members of my extended family to figure out how that whole thing works and, in the mean time, I've gotten a lot of random gifts as well as sweaters and turtlenecks and holiday socks. But at the end of yesterday I had a large stack of books, manga, and anime, alongside a couple other things, so I am quite happy and thankful. : )
On other topics, I have one book left of the required reading from the Aeneid. I know it's a bad thing that's it's taken me a week to even get this far, but I like to convince myself that I've been busy. Anyway, I hope to finish the up today and really hope to start Augustine's Confessions as well. ^^;
